High & Low Angle Rescue

  • Operations Level - 20 Hours
  • Technician Level - 40 Hours
  • Custom - 3 - 40 Hours +


Any district with a water tower, silos, or even just steep roadway embankments can benefit from training in the use of rope and rope systems to help safely and quickly access and remove injured patients.  TRS offers the following courses to help your Department meet NFPA 1670 and 1006 Standards.

Operations and Technician Level Courses are physically demanding.  Students should be in good physical condition and be comfortable working in the water.

Operations Level - 20 Hours
Students who complete this course will be competent in the following skills:
   *Selecting and maintaining equipment
   *Tying Knots
   *Selecting and building anchor systems
   *Rigging mechanical advantage, belay and raising systems
   *Assuring rescuer safety during operations

Technician Level - 40 Hours (Operations + 20 Hours)
Building on the Operations Level training the student will be able to:
   *Construct complex anchor systems
   *Construct high-angle and high-line rope systems

Custom Courses - 3 to 40+ Hours
